Why does all of the talk about energy seem to focus on one single source?
Haven't these people ever heard the expression "Don't put all of your eggs in one basket"?
There isn't enough money in the WORLD, let alone the United States, to completely overhaul our way of life to operate on a non-petroleum energy source.
Instead, we should be tapping into ALL of the various sources, and utilizing each where it makes the most sense - i.e. gasoline and Diesel for transportation; coal, hydro, nuclear, solar and wind for electrical generation WHERE IT MAKES SENSE.
Above all, innovation needs to be permitted and encouraged, not mandated by government!
